Brendon Hayden broke Wisconsin's hits and doubles record, while Battle Creek pushed their win streak to six. Meanwhile, Lakeshore's skid hit three while Kenosha pulled closer to first in the South with their fifth straight win.

Thunder Bay 13, Wisconsin Rapids 7

Thunder Bay racked up 18 hits as they downed Wisconsin Rapids in the continuation of a suspended game. The two teams combined for 11 runs after resuming, with the Border Cats pulling away behind a pair of four-run innings and a three-run ninth. Tyler Rolland (Southern Illinois), Christian Correa (Nicholls St) and Tyler Patterson (St. Cloud St) all drove in two runs for Thunder Bay. Reliever Devin McLemore (Wiston Salem St) threw four perfect innings with a pair of strikeouts in his 24th appearance of the summer for his third win.

Green Bay 5, Kalamazoo 2 (10 innings)

A three-run tenth carried Green Bay to win after coming from behind to tie it in the top of the ninth. A pinch-hit RBI single from Brian Celsi (California) tied it as the Bullfrogs were down to their last out to foce extras. Franco Guardascione (Palm Beach St), pinch hitter Daniel Jackson (Long Beach St) and Paul Jacobsen (SDSU) all picked up a RBI in the top of the ninth. Sam Brunner (Dodge City Community College) went three shutout innings down the stretch for the win.

Eau Claire 5, Alexandria 2

Eau Claire trailed 1-0 through five, but scored in each of the last four innings, capping it off with a two run ninth. Alexandria left 11 runs on base and managed just one run through the first eight innings before trying to rally. Peter Hendron (Santa Clara) went seven strong innings, allowing just one earned run on five hits while striking out three. He was backed by RBIs from four different players, including a solo home run from Lane Milligan (New Mexico).

Wisconsin 7, Lakeshore 3

Wisconsin used six extra base hits, including a record-breaking double from Brendon Hayden (Virginia Tech) as they downed Lakeshore, handing the South-leading Chinooks a third consecutive loss. Hayden hit a double in the bottom of the third to stand alone atop the Woodchucks all-time hits list (149) and doubles (35). Paul DeJong (Illinois St) hit his 16th home run of the season, while Nate Mondou (Wake Forest) drove in two runs with a double and a home run. Lakeshore has now dropped three in a row after an 11-game winning streak.

Battle Creek 8, La Crosse 7

Battle Creek won their Northwoods-league leading sixth win in a row, an 8-7 walkoff win as they downed the last-place Loggers. La Crosse's skid hit six as they fell on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth issued by Jameson Sadowske (UW-La Crosse). Mike Nadratowski (Grand Valley St) drove in three runs for the Loggers but it wasn't enough as player of the night Anthony Cheky (Battle Creek) carried the Bombers to the win. Cheky went a perfect 3-3 with three RBIs as well as two stolen bases.

Duluth 3, Mankato 0

Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night AJ McElderry (Indiana St) gave up just one hit over six innings and the Huskies bullpen held Mankato hitless as Duluth won, 3-0. Mankato finished with just the lone hit on the night and McElderry and Duluth got all the offense they needed from Trent Chatterton (UCLA) and Keach Ballard (Oklahoma). Chatterton drove in two runs, Ballard added another and the pitching staff was dominant.

Willmar 5, Rochester 4 (10 innings)

Willmar turned in their second walkoff win in a row, downing Rochester in the bottom of the tenth after just barely tying it in the ninth. A wild pitch allowed the run to force extras come across while Frankie Rios (Southern California) hit a bases loaded walkoff in an error-filled game. Both teams combined for eight errors, but it was three spotless innings from Colton Boucher (Northern St) down the stretch to allow Willmar to pull back into it.

Kenosha 4, Madison 3

Both teams picked up seven hits, but Madison left eight runners on base and couldn't overcome a two-run Kenosha sixth. They broke open a 3-2 game to pull ahead as the Kingfish's win streak hit five. They're 9-1 over their last ten games and have pulled within 2 1/2 games of first place Lakeshore. Alex Dunlap (Stanford) went 2-3 with a home run, a double and three RBIs for Kenosha.

Waterloo 4, St. Cloud 3

St. Cloud rallied for a run in the bottom of the ninth, but it was too little too late as Waterloo picked up a narrow 4-3 win. The Bucks scored two runs in both the first and fifth and managed to come away a win despite being out-hit 10-5 and leaving 11 runners on base. Landon Simpson (Arkansas) improved to a perfect 6-0 as he went seven innings and gave up just two earned runs while striking out four. Adam Bray (South Dakota St), primarily a starter, recorded his first save with four strikeouts over two innings.

Thunder Bay 8, Wisconsin Rapids 7 (7 innings)

The second game between these two teams featured more offensive fireworks, as they combined for 27 hits- over seven innings. Thunder Bay broke a 7-7 tie with a run in the fifth after falling behind 7-3 early. Four different BorderCats picked up doubles, and all but two members of their lineup recorded a hit as they racked up 14 as a team. Jacob Robson (Mississippi St) led the way with two RBIs on a 3-4 night.
