WILLMAR, Minn. (May 31, 2012) – Mankato MoonDogs center fielder Kyle Turner (Missouri Baptist) was named Northwoods League Player of the night on Thursday, May 31.
The Mankato leadoff hitter got the MoonDogs off on the right foot when he powered a solo home run over the fence to leadoff the game. Turner would add another solo blast in the top of the fifth. Turner would also double in the top of the seventh inning.
Turner finished the night going 3-for-5 in Mankato’s 4-1 win over the Willmar Stingers. The MoonDogs are back in action on Friday, June 1, when they host the St. Cloud Rox. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.
