Battle Creek, Mich. – The Bomber faithful was in full display at C.O. Brown Stadium as more than 4,000 fans were in attendance to see Battle Creek sweep Kenosha.

The Bombsquad jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and never looked back, going on to win 5-2over the Kingfish.

Joe Mockbee (Michigan State) had another nice start on the mound and picked up his first win of the season, going 5+ IP, giving up only one earned run.

Hunter Jobe (Pfeiffer) was very solid in relief as he has been all season. He came in with the bases loaded and one out in the seventh and got a double play ball to get out of a huge jam. Jobe went through the ninth and was able to get the save for Battle Creek.

The offense was led by Colby Bortles (Ole Miss), who went 2-3 on the day and had a couple RBIs.

Battle Creek went 3-1 on the home stand with their only loss coming to the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The Bombers will head to Wausau, Wisconsin tomorrow morning to face off with those pesky Woodchucks.

The Chucks just went on a four game road trip to Michigan and went 3-1, splitting with the Bombers and sweeping the Kalamazoo Growlers.

Kyle Slack (Toledo) will be getting the start tomorrow in Wausau as the Bombers look to keep to their winning ways, first pitch at 8:05 ET.
