Kenosha, Wisc.—The Battle Creek Bombers were in Kenosha to take on the Kingfish for the last road trip of the season early this evening. The Kingfish, who are in a playoff race with the Wisconsin Woodchucks, started off hot against the Bombers and didn’t look back.

Andrew Mitchell (LSU) made his last start of the year with the Bombers and looked sharp on the mound but the Kingfish were able to sneak hits through the defense despite Mitchell sitting down 7 batters.

The Kingfish got their big inning in the third where they plated four runs on just two hits after walks and an error worked against the Bombers.

Bombers bats were active throughout the game, collecting 11hits but could not string them together when the moment counted.

The Bombers fell to the Kingfish by a final score of 10-4. The Bombers will try to end Kenosha’s playoff hopes tomorrow, 5:05pm Central Time first pitch.
