Man Eating Large Bowl of CerealThe Battle Creek Bombers announced a new and unique Fundraising Campaign to kick off the season of giving.  Their goal is to raise $5,000 or more for local charities – primarily the Food Bank of South Central Michigan.  In a very unique and bold twist, the staff of the Bombers has pledged to only eat Battle Creek produced cereal and cereal-related products until their goal is reached.

In order to raise the necessary funds, starting today the Bombers will be offering $19.99 ticket packages to Opening Night.  Included in these packages is a ticket to the game, a souvenir hat, a Fireworks Display that night and an exclusive post-game meet and greet and autograph session with the 2015 Battle Creek Bombers.  This autograph session will only be open to those purchasing this specific package.  For every package purchased, half the proceeds will go directly back to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan.  For corporations or businesses wishing to donate to another local charity, the Bombers are willing to facilitate that as well.

Bombers General Manager Tony Iovieno announced the fundraising effort today and added, “We really wanted to do something positive for our community during this season of giving. We feel this is a worthy cause for our staff, and for the greater Battle Creek community to support. Also – by pledging to eat only local cereal products, we’re putting our unique stamp on this fundraiser, while hopefully raising a lot of awareness and funds for a great cause”.
