Bombers Celebrating 10th Anniversary – Open May 31st vs Madison Mallards

BATTLE CREEK, MI – The Battle Creek Bombers, an affiliate of the Northwoods League, released their complete 2016 regular season schedule today (Bombers 2016 Schedule).  For the second year in a row, the league will be host to 18 teams, and maintain a 72-game regular season schedule.  The NWL will begin its 23rd season of play on Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 as the Battle Creek Bombers play host to the Madison Mallards.  The Bombers are coming off of their highest attended season to date, and will celebrate the team’s 10th anniversary throughout the 2016 season.

The 2016 Bombers Schedule features 18 family-friendly weekend dates (Fri-Sun) this season.  For 5 of these premium nights, the Bombers plan to feature and invest in the best entertainment acts, giveaways and firework displays of the year.  In addition, traditional start times have been altered for 2016 as well.  All Saturday home games are now set to start at 6:05 PM, and the team will feature a slew of family-friendly Sunday afternoon games as well with start times of 1:05 PM, 3:05 PM and 5:05 PM.  The lone exception will be on Sunday, July 3rd – as the team will feature a 7:05 PM contest and a post-game fireworks display.

Popular day games return to C.O. Brown Stadium this summer as well, with the team hosting two Education Days, presented by Marshall Community Credit Union.  On both June 1st and June 7th, the Bombers will host thousands of local students.  Additionally, the franchise’s popular Camp Day makes it return on June 20th, as the team will host the rival Kalamazoo Growlers for an 11:05 AM game.  Finally, the team is also scheduled to play at home this July 4th, with an Independence Day game tentatively scheduled for 2:05 PM.

After taking home the I-94 Rivalry Cup last season, presented by the OnStaff Group, the Bombers will look to continue their good fortune against the rival Kalamazoo Growlers (8-0 last year) in 2016.  The rivals will clash early and often this season, with the Bombers hosting the Growlers on June 2nd and then playing two in Kalamazoo on June 3rd and 4th.  The teams will then do battle for their fourth game in a row, this time back in Battle Creek, on Sunday June 5th.  The rivals will also play home and away doubleheaders on June 20th, and again on August 1st

A full promotional schedule will be released at a later date, but the franchise has made it clear that they will be investing their biggest and best draws on five premium nights.  These nights are set for June 18th, June 24th, July 9th, July 23rd, and August 13th.  The team does not anticipate many, if any, single-game tickets being available for these premium dates.  However – any fan can already guarantee their seat(s) to these five nights through the Bombers brand new 5 Game Pack.  Each pack includes the best seats available to these prime matchups, along with all-you-can-eat food and beverage, and guaranteed giveaways such as the ever popular Bobbleheads.  The team is now taking 5 Game Pack reservations, along with season ticket and group outing deposits, at www.battlecreekbombers.com or by phone at (269)-962-0735 and by emailing info@battlecreekbombers.com
