Bombers sign left-hander Aaron Stretch

 

The Battle Creek Bombers and the OnStaff Group are excited to announce the signing of left-handed pitcher Aaron Stretch from South Mountain Community College.

Aaron Stretch, 5’11”, 190 lbs., LHP, B/T: L/L, South Mountain Community College (So.), Gilbert, Ariz.

Stretch, a native of Gilbert, Ariz., is in his sophomore season at South Mountain Community College.  So far this season, the left-hander has appeared in 20 games out of the bullpen, compiling a 3-4 record with 38 strikeouts. 

In his freshman season with the Cougars, Stretch appeared in 16 games racking up a 2-1 record and 30 strikeouts.  The southpaw attended Williams Field High School in Gilbert, Ariz.

Bombers field manager Brian Solemsaas is happy with the signing saying, "Stretch is a high character kid, works extremely hard and is going to be a tremendous teammate. My good friend Tyler Gillum, one of his coaches at South Mountain, speaks very highly of him. He's going to come in and fill any role for us and will be successful at whatever he does. He's having a good spring and his hard work shows, having recently signed with Southeast Missouri State."
