Tuesday's Player of the Night is Rochester second basemen Reid Roper, a senior from Illinois. Roper backed a strong start from Matt Kent and carried the Honkers to an easy 9-2 win over Mankato, bouncing back from being swept by Kalamazoo.
Roper went 3-5 and tied his season high with four RBIs, three coming on a home run in the fifth. He's hitting .301 on the season with seven doubles and three home runs for Rochester, who've started the second half at 6-8.
