Thursday's Pitcher of the Night is Duluth southpaw AJ McElderry, a junior from Indiana State. McElderry and the Huskies pitching staff held Mankato to just one hit on the night in a 3-0 shutout.

McElderry, who entered after making his first start of the season the other night, a six inning gem where he allowed just one run. He only improved, allowing just one hit over six shutout innings while striking out three. He only faced four batters over the minimum, as he issued three walks.

McElderr now has a 4.21 ERA over 22 appearances, two of whch were starts. He has 26 strikeouts over 42 2/3 innings pitched.
