Mequon, WI – The Lakeshore Chinooks are excited to announce the hiring of Shawn Kison, who will fill the role of Assistant General Manager. Kison has an extensive background working in sports. He started with the Chinooks in early November and has been hard at work prepping for the 2016 season. Shawn will oversee the team’s operations including managing the stadium, field, concessions, and player operations. “I am excited at the opportunity to work for the Lakeshore Chinooks and looking forward to another successful season of baseball at Kapco Park,” stated Kison.

Prior to joining the Chinooks front office, Kison was the Events Manager at the Wisconsin Center District for nine years. The Wisconsin Center District is in charge of operation the UWM Panther Arena, Milwaukee Theater, and Milwaukee Convention Center. Before that, Kison lived in North and South Carolina where he worked in women’s tennis, women’s soccer (Carolina Courage), and served as the Director of Operations for the Durham Bulls Baseball Club, Triple-A affiliate for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Kison graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with degrees in Sport Management and Spanish. Born and raised in Ozaukee County, Shawn currently resides in Greendale with his wife Katie and their three kids: Braden, Makenna, and Cailin.
