The Eau Claire Express advanced to the Summer Collegiate World Series with an 8-4 victory over the St. Cloud Rox on the road on Tuesday night. Eau Claire's starting pitcher Brody Rodning (Mankato) threw seven scoreless innings and allowed three hits and four walks with eight strikeouts in a no decision to be named the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night.
Eau Claire will play Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday night at 7:05 in Game 1 of the World Series.
