Heath Hawkins (Furman) earned pitcher of the night after guiding the Woodchucks to a 1-0 victory over the Madison Mallards. Hawkins battled all night in a pitcher's dual and came on top with just one run of support. He threw 6.1, only allowed four hits, put two guys on from three errors and only issued two walks. Hawkins struck out six in his fourth start of the season while earning his first win.
