The Duluth Huskies (7-6) collected their fourth straight win as they beat the Green Bay Bullfrogs 5-3.

Riley Gates started and pitched 4 innings for the Huskies allowing just 1 earned run while collecting 4 strikeouts. The Green Bay Bullfrogs got the game’s first run when center fielder Logan Taylor started off the game with a single and later scored off of first baseman Danny Rosenbaum’s sacrifice fly.

The Huskies answered with 4 runs of their own in the 2nd inning when second baseman Jimmy Heck led off with a single. The bases were loaded after right fielder Elijah Dilday and third baseman Elliot Barzilli both reached base. Jean Figueroa followed with the hit of the game with that being a grand slam clearing the bases for the Huskies.

The Huskies added one more insurance run in the 5th when Alex Greene reached first after being hit by a pitch. Dominic Miroglio followed by reaching on an error by the third baseman that advanced Miroglio to 2nd and Greene to 3rd. Greene later scored on a wild pitch by Luke Lind.

Logan Taylor led the way for the Bullfrogs going 3 for 5 with a run and RBI. Josh McLaney was the winning pitcher for the Huskies while Luke Lind collected the loss for the Bullfrogs. The Huskies conclude their two-game series with the Bullfrogs Wednesday night at 6:35pm.
