The Duluth Huskies (8-6) collected their fifth straight win as they beat the Green Bay Bullfrogs 10-9.

Toby Anderson started for the Huskies, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up 6 hits, 5 runs, and recording one strikeout. The Green Bay Bullfrogs got the game’s first run in the first inning when Logan Taylor got a leadoff walk. Robb Taylor knocked in Taylor with a double. The Bullfrogs scored the next five runs (two in the 2nd and three in the 3rd). Ryan Donovan hit a three run homerun in the 3rd inning to make it a 6-0 game.

The Huskies showed that they can come back from any deficit to win a ball game. They scored 5 runs in the 4th inning, 2 runs in the 5th and 1 run in the 6th. The Huskies pulled to an 8-7 lead at the bottom of the 6th inning. The Bullfrogs scored 2 runs in the 8th giving them a 9-8 lead.

The Huskies lead off the bottom of the 9th with a single by Cal Stevenson. Alex Greene advanced to 2nd on an error by the catcher and Stevenson was thrown out trying to advance to  3rd. Dominic Miroglio got hit by a pitch to advance to first. Jimmy Heck walked to load the bases for Jean Figueroa. Figueroa drew a walk which scored Greene. Justin Paulsen scored Elijah Dilday (who ran for Miroglio) on a fielder’s choice.

Moises Ceja ended up with the win for the Huskies. Jeremy Graf ended the night with the loss for the Bullfrogs. The Huskies don’t play again at home until the 24th against the St. Cloud Rox at 6:35pm.
