Director of Operations / Field Manager / Owner
Dale has been the Field Manager for the Express since the inaugural 2005 season. The 2010 Northwoods League Manager of the Year has led the Express to the playoffs four times, winning Eau Claire's first NWL Championship in 2010. The Express also reached the Championship Series in 2007 and 2016 and the Divisional Series in 2009. The 2016 season marked his 11th as the team's Director of Operations.
A native of Marshfied, Wis., Dale is no stranger to Eau Claire baseball, having played a number of years for the Eau Claire Cavaliers. He also served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, UW-Eau Claire. After a short coaching stint at UW-River Falls, Dale served as the head coach and Director of Facilities at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wis. from 1999-2001.
Dale and his wife Jennifer live in Eau Claire with their three children: Jake, Averie and Christian.
Vic finishes his 12th season as the Express pitching coach in 2016. He brings over 15 years of coaching experience to the Express staff.
Following a standout career at UW-Eau Claire, he set career records for wins, strikeouts, innings pitched and appearances during a 15-year career with the Eau Claire Cavaliers. Vic has served as an assistant coach at Eau Claire Memorial and Chippewa Falls High School, where he continues to teach.
Vic lives in Eau Claire with his wife Pam and daughters Katie and Emma.
Chris Holke is in his first season as an Assistant Coach with the Eau Claire Express. During the Spring, Holke coaches at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. Other coaching stops have included a two year stint at Rockford University from 2015-16. At Catawba, he assists with the hitters and outfielders. Holke also brings extensive knowledge and coaching experience to the catching position.
A native of Barrington, Ill., he began his collegiate playing career at Harper College, where he was a two-time NJCAA N4C All-Conference performer. He hit .373 as a sophomore with 12 doubles and 30 RBIs and was also selected as a member of the NJCAA Region IV All-Regional Team. In his freshman season, Holke pitched as well posting a 4-3 record with a 4.06 ERA in 31 innings and hit for a .355 average. Holke led the Hawks to the NJCAA Division III, Region 4 Championship game in 2010.
Holke graduated from Rockford University in 2014 with Cum Laude honors and bachelor’s degrees in history and political science. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Chi Alpha Sigma. He completed his Master of Arts in Teaching from Rockford in 2016. He resides in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Ryan Goll joins the Eau Claire Express baseball team as an assistant coach for the 2017 season. Goll grew up in Rochester, Minnesota and has been working as a Student-Manager for the University of Minnesota baseball team since the fall of 2015. Goll recently got promoted as the Head Student-Manager and will continue the role through the 2019 season. Goll spent last summer coaching the Rochester John Marshall Junior Legion baseball team.
