Kingfish Release 2016 Fun-Filled Promotional Schedule

Highlighted by nine fireworks shows, Bella Cain performs at the Home Run Derby at the Harbor

Kenosha, Wis. – The Kenosha Kingfish have released their full promotional schedule for the 2016 season. The 2016 schedule is packed with nine fireworks shows, six unique bobblehead giveaways, brand new entertainment acts and celebrity appearances. The Kingfish will continue to provide affordable, family-oriented entertainment and are excited to offer a top-notch ballpark experience.

Opening Week

The Kingfish open their season at historic Simmons Field for CCB Technology Fan Appreciation Opening Night on Tuesday, May 31st against the La Crosse Loggers, featuring the CCB Technology stadium blanket giveaway. Wednesday, June 1st features the commemorative Platinum Systems Championship Elvis Bobblehead giveaway. The Kingfish return to Simmons field for the first Saturday night fireworks show of the season on June 4th, presented by Sports Physical Therapists. Saturday, June 4th is Kenosha Limos and Kaiser’s Pizza & Pub Hollywood Night with a tribute to the King, Elvis Presley. The night will also feature an auction to have lunch with Kingfish players. Sunday June 5th is Columbia College of Missouri Military Appreciation Day with Twin Disc’s Coast Guard Elvis Bobblehead giveaway. The Sunday afternoon game will also feature a petting zoo sponsored by Jerry Smith Pumpkin Farm. At each Sunday home game this season, kids have the opportunity to run the bases, presented by Aurora Health Care.

Home Run Derby at the Harbor and NWL All-Star Game

High-energy, regional country band, Bella Cain, will make downtown Kenosha boom on Monday, July 18th at the Home Run Derby at the Harbor. The event will feature Northwoods League All-Stars standing on a pier, hitting home runs in to Lake Michigan. The Northwoods League All-Star Game follows on Tuesday, July 19th at Simmons Field, featuring an autograph session by NWL All-Stars. 70+ MLB scouts are expected to be in attendance.

Bobbleheads

In addition to the Platinum Systems Championship Elvis and Twin Disc Coast Guard Elvis bobbleheads, four other bobbleheads will be featured throughout the season. The Uke’s Harley Davidson Biker Elvis bobblehead will be given away on Sunday, June 26th. Lee Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric Toilet Seat Race Elvis will be given away on Friday, July 8th. The Festival Foods Tailgate Elvis bobblehead will be given away on Friday, July 15th and the bobblehead series will come to a close with the Lynch Chevrolet T-Shirt Toss Elvis bobblehead on July 24th.

Fireworks

The Kingfish will feature nine post-game fireworks shows, sure to amaze all fans in attendance. These shows will take place after Saturday night home games including: June 4th, June 25th, July 2nd, July 9th, July 16th, July 23rd, July 30th and August 13th with an additional show to celebrate Independence Day on Sunday, July 3rd.

Celebrity Appearances

WWE legend and half of the famous “Hardy Brothers,” Matt Hardy will be in attendance on Wednesday, August 10th, presented by Smith & Forge. Matt Hardy will sign autographs and take photos with fans at Lynch Chevrolet of Kenosha, prior to coming to Simmons Field. TV Star, Nick Viall of ABC’s The Bachelorette will be appearing on Monday, July 11th.

Entertainment Acts

The fan-favorite dancing inflatable ZOOperstars will appear at Simmons Field four times in 2016 including June 9th, July 1st, July 13th and July 31st. The Flying Houndz Frisbee Trick Dog Show will show off their skills on Sunday, July 10th. New in 2016, the mischievous mascots of Rally Entertainment will wow those in attendance on Tuesday, August 2nd.

The Kingfish will open the season at home on Tuesday, May 31st at 7:05pm as they take on the La Crosse Loggers.  Kingfish single-game tickets will go on-sale on Saturday, April 30th at 9am.
