The Lakeshore Chinooks topped the La Crosse Loggers by a final score of 3-2 to extend their winning streak to eight games.

The Loggers got a respectable start from starter Ben Cejka (UW-La Crosse), who went 5 2/3 innings allowing ten hits on three runs (all earned) while allowing four walks and two strikeouts. 

The Loggers got their runs in the top of the eighth inning off a Ryne Birk (Texas A&M) single to score Brody Weiss (UC-Santa Barbara) and Aaron Knapp (Cal).

The Loggers and the Chinooks will resume their two-game series Friday night in Mequon from Kapco Park.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.
