Willmar, Minn. – The Loggers pull out the victory in a pitching duel on the road against the Stingers. Kevin Flemer (Oregon State) got his fifth win of the season.

Flemer made it through three innings without giving up a hit. But in the 4th, Storm Wilson led off with a solo home run for the first run of the game. Kevin allowed only two more hits the rest of his appearance on the mound. He finished the night, going 6.2 innings, allowing the lone run, walking one and striking out two.

Brian Kehner was also on fire for the Willmar Stingers. He only allowed four hits through the first seven innings. Down one run, the Loggers finally got to the Stinger pitcher. Ben Morgan (UW-La Crosse), the new Logger catcher, was hit by a pitch. Jordan Zimmerman (Michigan State) homered to give La Crosse its first lead of the game.

Ty Provencher (Long Beach State) came into the 9th and picked up his 13th save of the season. The crucial win against the formidable Stingers puts the Lumberman at 17-11 in the second half and 36-26 overall. With 10 games remaining in the season, La Crosse is sitting tied for second place overall with Green Bay.
