La Crosse, Wisc. – Mason McCoy (Iowa) came into game 1 of the doubleheader tonight against Madison at 107 hits for the year, tied for most all-time in Northwoods League history. After striking out in his first at-bat, McCoy singled to center to break the record in the 4th inning

He already has broken the Northwoods League single season runs record and is four bases away from breaking the League total bases.

He went 2-for-3 in game 1 with a single a two-run home run, and two runs. La Crosse ended up winning the game 6-1 on three Logger home runs.
