Thunder Bat, Ont.- La Crosse makes it four straight against the Border Cats, taking the contest over the border 3-2.

La Crosse loaded the bases with one out in the 3rd inning. Griffin Conine (Duke) put the Loggers on the scoreboard with a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Ramon Padilla (Illinois Central).

Thunder Bay tied the game up after 3 Border Cat doubles scored Andrew Fregia (Sam Houston State).

After a leadoff walk in the 4th by Logger 3rd baseman Justin Wylie (San Diego State) and a double by Cullen Large (William & Mary). Kevin Collard (San Diego) was hit by a pitch to load the bases again with one out. Lorenzo Hampton Jr. (California) was there to bring in Wylie on a sacrifice fly to center field.

Conine added his 2nd RBI of the game by singling in Garrett Zech (South Florida) to extend the La Crosse lead to 3-1.

Thunder Bay threatened in their final stand, scoring a run off from back-to-back walks to start the inning, but Andrew Perez (South Florida) kept the comeback in check in his 3.1 innings of relief work. He picks up his 4th save in as many chances.

Jonathan Teaney (San Diego) pitched 5.2 innings for his 4th victory of the season (4-0). He gave up 1 run on 6 hits with 3 strikeouts.

Jordan Thompson (Ridgewater) took the loss for the Border Cats. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 2 runs with 6 walks.
La Crosse sweeps the series against the Border Cats, making it 4 straight wins this season against Thunder By. With the win, the Lumbermen move to 14-8. Thunder Bay loses their 20th game (1-20).

La Crosse takes on the red-hot St. Cloud Rox at the Lumberyard tomorrow night. The Rox are currently on an 8-game winning streak. Come down to the park when the gates open at 6 for “Price is Right Night” presented by Gordy’s Market! Game time is 7:05.
