La Crosse, Wisc.- The St. Cloud Rox takes it to the La Crosse Loggers tonight. The Rox scored 10 runs on 10 hits for the shutout victory. Austin Dubsky held the Logger offense to just a single hit.

The Rox got it going with two outs in the 1st inning. Luke Ringhofer (South Dakota State) singled just past the glove of Logger shortstop Mason McCoy (Iowa). A wild pitch moved Luke to 2nd base. Michael Strem (Boston College) brought him home with a soft single to right field, giving St. Cloud an early 1-0 lead.

Michael Strem (Boston College) homered to right field to lead off the 4th inning. The Rox followed Strem with three straight singles and a fielder’s choice, scoring two more runs. T.J. Freidl (Nevada) brought in the 4th run of the inning on another single, extending the Rox lead to 5-0.

St. Cloud added five insurance runs in their final inning. The Rox put together two hits and four walks in the inning, but it was more than enough for the victory.

Austin Dubsky (Murray State) shut down the Loggers for his 2nd victory of the season (2-0). He took a no-hitter into the 8th inning, until Grant Fennell (Nevada) singled to center field to lead off the inning. He also threw four perfect innings until a walk in the 5th gave La Crosse its first baserunner of the game. Austin threw 8 scoreless innings, giving up a lone hit with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.

Mark Nowaczewski (Nevada) takes his 1st loss of the season (2-1). He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 runs on 8 hits, with a strikeouts.

La Crosse falls to 14-9 on the season with the loss. St. Cloud wins its 9th straight game, moving to 16-6. La Crosse looks to split the series with the Rox tomorrow night. Come watch the fireworks extravaganza after the 7:05 contest! Gates open at 6 pm.
