Waterloo, Iowa- La Crosse drops their 6th consecutive game, this time giving up a 6-3 lead to fall to the Bucks 8-6.

Both offenses came out sprinting from the gate. Mason McCoy (Iowa) was hit by a pitch to leadoff the game. Cullen Large (William & Mary) doubled, putting runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. Grant Fennell (Nevada) singled in McCoy. Lorenzo Hampton Jr. (California) followed with a double, bringing in Large and Fennell. Kevin Collard (San Diego) hibvhcht in Hampton Jr. for a 3rd consecutive hit. By the end of the inning, La Crosse was up 4-0.

Adam McGinnis (Western Illinois) homered after two walks, putting 3 runs on the board for Waterloo.

The Loggers took two back in their 2nd inning. Grant Fennell and Kevin Collard (San Diego) each brought in runs on sacrifice hits.

After the Bucks took another run in the half of the 2nd, Waterloo tied the game up with 2 runs in the 3rd on a sacrifice fly by Jake Hand (Southern Illinois) and a single by Robert Neustrom (Iowa).

Adam McGinnis struck again in the 4th inning, giving the Bucks their first lead of the game with a sacrifice fly, scoring Taylor Boyd (St. Joesph’s).

Both bullpens settled down after giving up runs in six of the first eight half innings, throwing two straight scoreless innings.

Alex Boxwell (Minnesota) tripled to lead off the 7th and added an insurance run for Waterloo on a groundout to second base by Adam McGinnis.

Brett Solano (Menlo) earns his 3rd win of the season (3-1) with his 5 inning start. He gave up 6 runs on 8 hits. He walked 3 and struck one Logger.

Graham Spraker (Quincy) gave up only 1 run on 1 hit, but still took his first loss of the season (0-1).

Cullen Large did have a great game tonight, going 3-for-3 from the plate with two walks and a run.

La Crosse falls to 14-14. This will be the first time the Loggers have not had more wins than losses since June 11th. Waterloo keeps pace with St. Cloud for the North Division lead (19-8). La Crosse and Waterloo play two tomorrow. Game one is in Waterloo at 11:05 am with game two in Copeland Park at 7:05 pm.
