The Lakeshore Chinooks have announced their 2014 promotional schedule. The Chinooks enter their third season of play after claiming the 2013 Northwoods League 2nd Half South Division crown and making their first appearance in post-season play.

The Chinooks and Kapco Park will host the 2014 Northwoods League All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 22nd. The day will be filled with exciting events including an All-Star Players Meet & Greet, Home Run Challenge, and the All-Star Game itself. The annual All-Star Game banquet will be held the night before. More information regarding the All-Star Game will become available in the coming weeks, but tickets to the game are on sale now!

Opening Week

The Chinooks will begin the 2014 campaign with the organization’s first Bob Uecker Bobblehead presented by Usinger’s Famous Sausage on Opening Day, May 29th . The Uecker bobblehead will commemorate Mr. Baseball’s first pitch during the Chinooks’ inaugural game back in 2012. The next night on May 30th will be Robin Yount Tribute Night. Lakeshore will officially retire Robin’s #19 at Kapco Park and Yount himself will be on hand for the ceremony. Fans attending the first two games of the season will receive a 2014 magnet schedule courtesy of Professional Supply.

Bobbleheads

Lakeshore will host two additional bobblehead nights during the 2014 season. On Sunday, June 22nd, fans will receive an All-Star Gill bobblehead presented by GS Design. The All-Star Gill bobblehead will commemorate the upcoming 2014 All-Star Game. On Sunday, August 3rd, it will be Jim Gantner bobblehead day courtesy of Robert Haack Diamonds. The field dimension markers at Kapco Park pay homage to jersey numbers of Wisconsin baseball great. The 317 sign at Kapco Park which honors Jim Gantner’s #17 will be included as part of the bobblehead.

Giveaways

The Chinooks have a number of giveaways planned for the upcoming season. On June 5th, fans will receive a poster celebrating the Chinooks 2013 2nd Half South Division title and playoff appearance. Fans will walk away with a BBQ grilling utensils set courtesy of Techteriors on Father’s Day, June 15th. The Big Gig begins on June 24th, and on that night fans at Kapco Park will receive a free ticket to Summerfest courtesy of Kapco Inc. The Chinooks will be giving away their first ever pennant on June 25th courtesy of Port Washington State Bank, and thanks to our friends at Leinenkugel’s, the Chinooks will be giving away a camo hat on Sunday, July 6th as part of Military & Veterans Appreciation Night.

With the All-Star Game coming to Kapco Park, the Chinooks will be giving away a few “All-Star” themed items. On July 8th, there will be a mini bat giveaway presented by US Foods and on July 10, fans will receive a pint glass courtesy of Mequon Pizza Company.

Each year, the Chinooks host a few player-themed giveaways and this season is no exception. On July 16th, it will be Team Autograph Night presented by Associated Bank. Fans will get a Chinooks logo baseball on which the entire team can sign following the game. On July 24th, it is team poster night presented by Aurora, Delzer, and Visual Image Photography. One week later on July 30th, it will be team trading card set night courtesy of Delzer and Visual Image Photography.

Fans will have the opportunity to win a number of different prizes with Mystery Envelope Night on July 7th and Fan Appreciation Night on August 4th. The popular wall decal series featuring Chinooks players will also return this season with five decal giveaways, all on Friday nights.

Also new for 2014, Lakeshore will be hosting three different Wine Nights. On June 5th, June 12th, and July 17th, fans can test and purchase a variety of different wines. On July 17th, fans 21 and older will also receive a Chinooks wine glass.

Appearances & Theme Nights

Kapco Park will have a few guests visiting the ballpark this summer. On June 4th, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Lynn Dickey will join the Chinooks for Green & Gold Night. Fans are encouraged to wear green and gold colors representing Wisconsin’s favorite professional football team.

All of Gill’s mascot buddies will help Gill celebrate his third birthday on Wednesday, June 11th. All mascots will participate in a pre-game soccer match. Afterwards, fans can get autographs and take photos will Gill and all of his friends.

The 501st Legion: Wisconsin Garrison will be returning to Kapco Park for their third straight year for the Chinooks’ annual Star Wars Night on June 14th. Characters from the popular Star Wars saga will be on hand to meet the fans in attendance.

The Chinooks will host their first ever Pro Wrestling Night featuring wrestling legend Hacksaw Jim Duggan on June 16th. The Hall of Famer was a fan favorite during the 80’s and 90’s and still makes periodic appearances on WWE programming. Duggan will be available for autographs and photos with fans.

Another first for the Chinooks this season will be Princess Night. Young ladies can come dressed to the ballpark for Princess Night and get their hair and makeup done by the professionals at Erik of Norway. The Chinooks will also have a few special guest princesses in attendance that evening.

On June 26th, Birdzerk! American’s Ballpark Prankster will be stopping by Kapco Park for a night of fun and pranks. Birdzerk! will be presented by Kohler Credit Union.

On Sunday, June 29th, it will be Super Hero Night at Kapco Park presented by Marcus Theatres. A number of “super” guests are scheduled to appear. Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero.

For the first time ever at Kapco Park, Lakeshore will be shooting off fireworks following the game on Saturday, August 2nd. Feeling lucky? Come out for Baseball Bingo Night presented by Alexian Village on Tuesday, July 8th. The Highlands Sportsmen’s Club will be presenting the annual Top Dog Competition on June 7th in which retrieval dogs will compete to see who the “top dog” is. Also on June 7th will be Mel’s Pig Roast Night, an annual fundraiser in which a special package is sold to help support local charities. Finally, on the last game of the year, August, 6th, if the Chinooks Win, You Win! If Lakeshore gets a win, all fans in attendance will receive a voucher to a 2015 game.

You can book your tickets now for all these promotional dates by purchasing a season ticket package. Ticket packages include a full season option, 12 game option, as well as 6 game voucher package. Single game tickets will go on sale Monday, April 28th.

The Lakeshore Chinooks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
