Mark Ogren
Owner

Mark owns Croix Oil Company which is located in Stillwater, Minnesota. The company has been owned by the Ogren family for over 50 years and operates in the retail petroleum business. He is the President of Croix Oil Company and has served in that post since 1995. Mark currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Petroleum Marketers Association. Mark is also active in the real estate business and holds a Real Estate Broker’s License in the State of Minnesota. Mark is also an owner of the Sioux Falls Canaries, a member of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball. He is also an owner of the Sioux Falls Stampede, a member of the United States Hockey League. Mark received his Bachelors Degree in Financial Management in 1985 and his Masters of Business Administration in 1990, both from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He and his wife Dawn have two sons and two daughters and currently reside in Stillwater, Minnesota. 

 

Tom Garrity
Co-Owner and President

Tom Garrity just completed his fifth season as CEO and President of Sioux Falls Sports, LLC which include the Stampede (hockey) and the Canaries (baseball). Garrity is also a co-owner and managing partner of the USHL Madison Capitols and has just become Co-Owner and President of the MoonDogs. In addition to working with the Stampede, Canaries and Capitols, and now the MoonDogs, Garrity is founder & CEO of Quan Sports Marketing LLC. Quan is a sports consulting firm specializing in leading sports franchises in the areas of revenue generation, expense and operations management. Tom is a University of Wisconsin at Platteville graduate and is a native of Prairie du Chien, Wis. Garrity and his wife, Gina, have 4 children: Caitlyn (13), Connor (12), Ceira (8), and Cameron (7). 

 

Scott Ogren
Director 

Scott was named Director of the MoonDogs in 2013, in addition to his role at Croix Oil Company. He joined the family business as a full-time employee after graduating from the University of St. Thomas in 2010. Scott received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management in 2015.

Greg Weis
General Manager 

Greg is entering his seventh year with the MoonDogs, five as the General Manager of the Mankato MoonDogs baseball club. He handles the daily operations of the team, as well as supervises the sales staff and oversees the ball park operations over the course of the baseball season. In January of 2011, Greg started with the MoonDogs as the Assistant General Manager and spent two seasons in that role. He was promoted to GM in January of 2013. Originally from Chanhassen, Weis received his undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2010 and received his graduate degree in Sport Management from MSU in May 2014. Weis is also volunteers with the Twin Rivers Council for the Arts, Leisure Education for Exceptional People (LEEP), and  the Greater Mankato Rotary Club. In addition he serves as an adjunct professor for the Sport Management Program at MSU for the subject of Sport Marketing. Greg continues to reside in Mankato along with his wife, Cate! 

 

Austin Link
Assistant General Manager of Sales and Operations

Originally from Renville, MN Austin will be entering his second season with the MoonDogs. Though only his second season, he is no stranger to the Northwoods League. He previously worked for the Willmar Stingers as an intern in 2012. Austin graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a degree in Sport Management and a minor in Marketing in the fall of 2014. His other previous experiences include being a Game Presentation intern with the MN Lynx, Stage Manager for the MN Timberwolves, and a Public Relations intern for the MN Vikings. In his spare time he enjoys spending time at the lake, traveling, and anything to do with sports. His career goal is to be a General Manager at the professional level. Tyler Kuch
Group Sales Representative

Tyler, a native of Mankato, is beginning his first season with the MoonDogs as a full-time employee. He is a 2013 graduate of Minnesota State University-Mankato, with a degree in Sport Management and minor in Marketing.  Tyler was an intern for the Pittsfield Suns (MA), of the Futures Collegiate League, during the summers of 2012 and 2013.  He later interned for the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association in Colorado Springs, CO during the fall/winter of 2013/2014.  In his spare time, he likes to play and watch sports, pet any dog that approaches him, and make his friends participate in games he’s created.

 

 

 

Justin White
Ticket Operations and Community Outreach Coordinator 

No stranger to the Mankato MoonDogs, Justin was born and raised in the Mankato area and has been attending games at The Frank for almost a decade. In 2016, he was an Inside Sales intern, and since then, promoted to a more full-time position. Justin is currently working towards obtaining a Master’s Degree in Sports Management, after graduating with a degree in Political Science from Minnesota State University, Mankato.  Justin stays plenty busy outside of the ballpark and the classroom. He is current a head coach with the YMCA’s STRIDE Program and currently plays in the local slow-pitch summer softball league.  Justin also likes to think he can golf, loves hiking and the lake, and loves spending time with friends, family, and his favorite MoonDog supporters, Charlie and Murphy. He looks forward to spending beautiful Minnesota summer nights with all of the great MoonDogs fans.

Charlie Snelson
Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations

Snelson has a unique knowledge of the Northwoods League, which goes all the way back to his time as a MoonDogs batboy in the early 2000's. Since then, he has worked for the team as a program vendor, camera operator, official scorer, media relations intern, and director of ballpark music & sound. In 2014, Snelson added to his MoonDogs resume and earned his Bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Minnesota State University. He is currently a graduate school student at the University of Northern Colorado working toward a master's degree in Sport Administration. At the same time, he works as a Communications Assistant in the school's Athletic Department. In that position Snelson is charged with covering Northern Colorado's Division I men and women's tennis teams and does play-by-play commentary for Northern Colorado Bears baseball games. His other work experience in sports includes the Minnesota Timberwolves and Bethany Lutheran College.

Kiersten Schmidt
Athletic Trainer

Kiersten Schmidt enters her third season as the MoonDogs Head Athletic Trainer. A native from Mapleton, MN, Kiersten grew up watching the MoonDogs since they formed in 2002. Kiersten earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Athletic Training from the University of Minnesota Duluth and her Master of Arts in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. While at Minnesota State University, Kiersten served at the Athletic Trainer for the Women’s Ice Hockey and Softball teams. Currently, Kiersten serves as the Athletic Trainer for the Women’s Basketball team at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. In her free time, Kiersten enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, spending time at the lake, and watching hockey.

Jeremy Becker
Inside Sales Intern
Originally from Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Jeremy is entering his first year as an Intern for the MoonDogs and he will be working as an Inside Sales Intern. Jeremy is finishing his junior year at Bethany Lutheran College here in town. He is working towards a Business Degree and obtaining a Minor in Communications. Jeremy spends a lot of his time at Bethany as a member of Bethany’s basketball team, Vice President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and a tour guide on campus, among other involvements. In addition to this experience, Jeremy is currently an intern for the Bethany Lutheran Athletic Department, working on their social media pages and graphics. Jeremy was also a marketing intern for the Minnesota Vikings during the 2016 Training Camp. His dream job is to be a GM for a team in the NBA, preferably the Minnesota Timberwolves. Lastly, Jeremy’s addition adds another Badger and Packer fan to the office.  
 
 
Sarah Duwenhoegger
Inside Sales Intern
Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, this will be Sarah's first year with the MoonDogs as an Inside Sales Intern. Next fall she will be a Senior at Minnesota State University, Mankato where she is studying Business Marketing. Aside from working full time, she is also part of Marketing Club. Sarah is excited to be part of the MoonDogs team this year, as baseball has always been a big part of her life. During her free time she enjoys attending concerts, sporting events, being out on the lake, and spending time with family and friends. 
 
 
 
 
 
Chris Langlois
Marketing and Events Coordinator Intern
Chris is a native of Wausau, Wisconsin and will be entering his first year working in the Northwoods League as an intern. Chris is a graduate student at Minnesota State University, Mankato where he is studying Sport Management and is currently serving as an intern in the Athletic Communication office. Prior to arriving in Mankato, Chris received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where he double majored in History and Communication, with an emphasis in Public Relations. Chris’s career goals are to work in sport communication or marketing at the professional level. In his free time Chris enjoys hiking through Minnesota state parks and reading biographies of leaders in sport and U.S. history. 
 
 
 
Alex White
Operations Intern
Originally from Waseca, Minnesota, Alex is entering his first year as an Intern for the Mankato Moondogs and he will be working as an Operations Intern. Alex is currently a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and is majoring in Professional Sales. Alex is also quite involved in a variety of student organizations on campus. He currently is a member of The Singing Statesmen, an all male chorus, The Innocent Men, an all male seven member a cappella group, and Pi Sigma Epsilon, one of the top sales and marketing fraternities in the country. Alex has a vast passion and knowledge for baseball and aspires to someday work in the sales department for a professional baseball organization. In Alex's free time he enjoys watching any Minnesota sports team catching up with friends, and playing baseball.
 
 
 
Sam Erickson
Operations Intern
Born and raised in Slayton, Minnesota, Sam will be entering his first year in the Northwoods League as an Operations Intern for the Mankato MoonDogs.  Sam is currently a Senior at Mount Marty College in Yankton, SD and plans to graduate this spring.  In his time at Mount Marty, Sam has been a 4-year member of the Lancer Baseball Program.  He will be attending Minnesota State University, Mankato in the fall of 2017 as a graduate student in the Sport Management Program.  Sam will be working in the Mavericks athletic offices as an Operations Graduate Assistant during his two years at Minnesota State University.  He has a passion for baseball as well as a passion for operations, event management, and athletic administration.  In Sam's free time he enjoys playing baseball and golf, spending time on the lake, and watching any Minnesota sports team.
 
 
 
Bella Crespo
Community Relations, Promotions, and Operations Internship
Bella is currently a Junior at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She plans to graduate in the fall of 2018 with a degree in Sport Management and a minor in Marketing. Bella is the Director of Events in the Sport Management Association at MSU, where she also has past volunteer experience with the football team. Bella is from Minnetonka, Minnesota where she played softball for nine years. She was also a baseball manager for her high school for two years, with sparked her interest to study Sport Management and working in baseball. In her free time she enjoys attending sporting events, traveling, fishing and anything lake related, and going to the dog park.
