What’s your favorite memory while playing for the Rochester Honkers?
DG: Being able to play baseball everyday and doing it with a good group of guys for the season I played in Rochester.

What's your favorite non playing memory from your time with the Rochester Honkers (Host Family, Experience, Bus Ride, etc.)
DG: I hung out a lot with my teammates, we all got along really well and had a good time on and off the field. My host family was great too!.

Who was your favorite teammate when you played for the Rochester Honkers and why?
DG: We all got along, but probably Justin Hilt who was from New Jersey.

What has happened to you since you left Rochester and what are you doing now?
DG: I finished up at Delta State, then was drafted by the Cardinals. I have played two seasons with the Kansas City T-Bones and in the offseason I coach high school football and baseball along with work at a radio station.

What was your biggest realization while playing for the Rochester Honkers?
DG:
There were a few things. The first was that it got you ready for playing minor league ball. We played or traveled everyday and you had learn how to take care of yourself. The other was that I could compete with guys at a higher level since I only went to a Division II school, while most guys in the league play in Division I. Playing against them made me realize that if you put your work in, you could play well along with move up to a higher level.

Do you stay in contact with former teammates? If so, who?
DG:
I keep in touch with some of the guys that I played with. Phil Haig came and visited me down in Jupiter for the Cardinals training camp when I was drafted. Zach Robertson, Aaron Senne, and Brian Gump are other guys I keep in touch with too.
