(St. Cloud, Minn.)—The Rochester Honkers saw their season come to a close in St. Cloud Monday night as they fell 4-0 in the first round of the NWL Playoffs. Josh Pigg (Hawaii) took the loss for Rochester. St. Cloud starter Reese Gregory (St. Cloud State) earned the win after throwing the complete game shutout.

The Honkers would muster just three hits on the night against Gregory as their first postseason appearance since 2010 ended abruptly.

St. Cloud took the lead on a wild pitch in the fourth, and again in the fifth on another WP before taking a 4-0 lead on a two-run home run in the fifth that would be the final difference.

The Honkers finished the regular season with 39 wins under first year manager Trevor Hairgrove (UC Riverside) and his staff, their highest total since that last playoff appearance
