(Rochester Minn.) – The Rochester Honkers announced today the signing of right-handed pitcher Garrett Cobb from Seminole State College in Seminole, OK.

Cobb is a 6-foot-4, 190-pound freshman from Canyon, Texas.  The young freshman finished the season seeing action in 12 games, with two starts, pitching 18.0 innings, allowing only 11 earned runs and striking out 25.  Opponents hit .181 against him.

Cobb and the Seminole State Trojans begin their post season tournament play on Thursday, May 11 at 12:00pm, for the first game of the Region II Division I NJCAA Baseball tournament in Woodward, OK.  Seminole State will take on Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.  Seminole State beat NEO 3 of 4 games during the regular season.  The winner of the tournament moves on to their World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado beginning on May 26.

The Rochester Honkers 24th season begins on Tuesday, May 30th when the team hosts the Mankato Moondogs in their home opener at Mayo Field at 7:05 pm.
