Slider’s Healthy Thought Today is About Restaurants! Not all restaurants are unhealthy, you just have to order wisely!

 Did you know…

  • A 16 ounce shake at a fast food restaurant provides about 30% of your recommended calcium intake. The bad news is it also supplies between 400 to 600 calories and at least 9 grams of fat.
  • Skipping the mayo on your sandwich can save you 6 grams of fat and 50 calories.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask for less cheese, more veggies, or whole grain bread to increase nutrition and decrease calories.
  • Protein is a pro at helping satisfy hunger, and when you stick with lean choices like grilled chicken, turkey, and shrimp, you can fill up without the added calories and fat.
