St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox are excited to announce their full 2015 promotional schedule. The schedule is jam packed with amazing fireworks shows, awesome giveaway items, hysterical entertainment acts, and specials guests at the Rockpile!
Opening Week
Former Minnesota Twins outfielder Jacque Jones leads off the Home Opener on Saturday, May 30th. Always a fan favorite, Jones will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and stick around to sign autographs. The home opener will also include a huge post-game fireworks show and magnet schedule giveaway for all fans, all presented by Coborn’s.
On Sunday, May 31st, the 1st 300 kids 14 and under will receive a 28” youth wood Rox baseball bat courtesy of the St. Cloud Hospital Stroke Center. It’s also the start of the very popular Coborn’s Kids’ Days. At every Sunday home game, kids can run the bases and get autographs on the field after the game.
Friday Night Fireworks
After the Rox light it up on the field, Pyrotechnic Display will light up the sky! After every Friday home game, there will be a fantastic post-game fireworks show. The first Friday Night Fireworks is schedule for June 5 presented by A&W Restaurants of Sartell and Albany. The remaining three Friday Night Fireworks will be June 26 presented by Franklin Graphics, July 17 presented by Xcel Energy, and July 31st presented by Bernick’s. In addition to the four Friday Night Fireworks shows, there will be post-game fireworks on the Home Opener Saturday, May 30th presented by Coborn’s, Thursday, July 2nd presented by SuperAmerica and Sunday, August 9th presented by Texas Roadhouse. There will be a total of seven post-game shows throughout the 2015 season.
Bobblehead Giveaway
Rox Mascot Chisel has made it to the top! He now has his own bobblehead! On Thursday, July 30th, fans will have an opportunity to get their first ever Chisel bobblehead courtesy of Capital One. The first 360 fans will receive a token to be redeemed during the game for a bobblehead.
Premium Giveaways
The promotional schedule includes premium giveaways at twenty-one games throughout the season including replica jerseys, four special edition baseball caps, drawstring bags, dog collars, seat cushions, baseball cards, piggy banks, umbrellas and a $3,000 diamond ring.
Special Events
Former NFL player and now “Cold Cuts Legend” Ickey Woods will be signing autographs and greeting fans at the ballpark on Wednesday, July 8th presented by Bernick’s.
The very entertaining Cowboy Monkeys will make an appearance to Joe Faber Field on Wednesday, July 29th presented by Ram Trucks and Brandl Motors. The Cowboy Monkeys, which includes three athletic monkeys who ride sheep dogs, will have an eight minute post-game performance.
Back by popular demand is the entertaining “Deuces Wild! Dueling Pianos”. The two comedian/musicians will have you entertained throughout the game on Thursday, July 9th presented by PreferredOne.
The friendly animal inflatables of the ZOOperstars will return to the Rockpile on Thursday, July 23rd presented by Plaza Park Bank and the St. Cloud Times.
The 3rd annual Wine, Women and Baseball event will be on Saturday, August 8th presented by Westside Liquor, Nick’s Third Floor, and Geyer Wedding & Event Rentals.
There will be two special Rox jersey auctions during the 2015 season. On Sunday, July 19th in partnership with the Center for Diagnostic Imaging, the Rox will be wearing special pink jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game with proceeds going to American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. In addition, the Rox will be wearing special blue jerseys during the 2nd annual “Guns and Hoses Night” on Sunday, August 2nd, a night to recognize local Police and Firefighters presented by Firehouse Subs. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with proceeds benefiting the Public Safety Foundation.
On Sunday, July 26th it will be Military Appreciation Day presented by Country Manor Health Care & Rehab Center. Local Veterans will be honored with their very own baseball card. The 1st 300 fans will receive a military card set featuring our local military heroes.

The St. Cloud Rox are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd season of summer collegiate baseball in 2015, the Northwoods League is the largest summer collegiate baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (BOS) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
