St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox and Sentry Bank are teaming up to reward nine youth in the community with the Sentry Bank Community All-Stars Program. Both organizations believe strongly in getting involved and supporting the local community and thus they created the Sentry Bank All-Stars program this season. The program rewards nine youth for their community involvement and how they make a positive impact within their community by displaying the 11 character traits of Jacob Wetterling. The 11 traits are:

2. Be Kind

3. Be Understanding

4. Be Honest

5. Be Thankful

6. Be a Good Sport

7. Be a Good Friend

8. Be Joyful

9. Be Generous

10. Be Gentle with others

11. Be Positive

Sentry Bank President Darren Heying is pleased to have the opportunity to partner in an event with the Rox that demonstrates what he strives for as a leader. “I value the relationships the bank has with the local communities and want to be involved with promoting activities that support the same values that Sentry Bank operates under which is to ‘do the right thing’.”

The Sentry Bank Community All-Stars program will begin receiving applications starting today through July 6th. Youth (between the ages of 8 to 14 years old) will be encouraged to register online or submit by mail their answers to three (3) questions for their chance to be selected to the Sentry Bank All-Star Team. Youth will be asked to submit answers to questions focusing on their community and how they made a positive impact through the 11 character traits of Jacob Wetterling. A committee will select the nine children based on their answers and experiences that they have written about. Each of the nine children selected will be rewarded with an experience that will show what it is like to live a day in the life of a Rox Baseball Player.

“We are very excited to partner with Sentry Bank on the Community All-Stars program that recognizes the positive impact children make in their community,” said Rox co-owner Scott Schreiner. To register to become a Sentry Bank Community All-Star please fill out the official Sentry Bank All-Stars Application form and mail it to the St. Cloud Rox, PO Box 7216, St. Cloud, MN 56302 or email to info@stcloudrox.com. Registrations must be received by July 6th to be eligible.

The 2017 Sentry Bank Community All-Star Program includes the following experiences for each of the nine youth selected to be a part of the team. The experiences will be a part of the Sentry Bank Community All-Stars Night on Thursday, July 27th. On this night the Rox will all be wearing #11 red jerseys to showcase the 11 character traits of Jacob Wetterling.

*SENTRY BANK ALL-STAR EXPERIENCES*

• Be announced at an official press conference where they will be presented with their own St. Cloud Rox jersey and official cap

• Be signed to a one-day promotional contract with the St. Cloud Rox

• Have the chance to take batting practice with the St. Cloud Rox

• Be introduced to the crowd as an official member of the Rox.

• Run out on the field for the National Anthem with the team

• Toss out a ceremonial first pitch on July 27th

• Have the opportunity to sit in the dugout for an inning during the game on July 27th
