Bismarck, ND — The Rox have put together their two best offensive performances in the last two days. After 14 hits in last nights shutout win, the only way to top that performance was by scoring the most runs in a game this season. St. Cloud powered its way past the Bismarck Larks 13-8 for their 15th win of the season.

Tuesday was another day where everybody at the plate was firing on all cylinders. 8 players had at least one hit and 5 had at least two. The Rox had their leadoff hitter reach base safely in every single inning except the 9th. The cherry on top was the fact the Rox scored in 6 of the 9 innings today.

It all started when Drew Avans (SE Louisiana) led off in the 1st with a walk, then scored Matt Tarantino (Pacific) extended his hitting streak to 8 with an RBI single. Bismarck then scored four in the bottom half to take the lead but St. Cloud quickly made it up.

The Rox then scored two in the 2nd and three in the 3rd to take back the lead and never looked back. Tarantino, Shane Selman (McNeese State), Eric Feliz (Notre Dame) and Ricardo Sanchez (Arkansas-Pine Bluff) had multiple RBI’s as they rolled from the best collective offensive effort this year.

On a day where the Rox used 5 pitchers to get through the 9 innings, each came in and did their part even if the bullpen was not as dominant as they usually are. Everyone is due for a tough outing or two in a three month season. It didn’t matter today as the STC hitters led a barrage against 5 Larks pitchers.

St. Cloud returns home tomorrow for one  game against the Stingers at 7:05. It’s Bark at the Park Night presented by Granite City Pet Hospital. The 1st 200 dogs will receive a Rox dog bandana. All dogs must enter through the General Admission Gate on the 1st base side of Joe Faber Field. They look to follow up their best game offensively and look to win their 3rd straight while staying within striking distance of 1st place. Right now, they Rox trail the Bucks by 2 games for the North Division Lead.

Tonight’s Box Score.
