5 Rox Represent in Madison Tuesday

Madison, WI — Every team in the Northwoods League had the day off for the Big League Dreams Showcase in Madison. 7 Rox players were selected and 5 played in a 9 inning game with a mixture of players from the NWL's two divisions. Position players Daniel Schneemann (BYU) and Cameron Eden (Cal) stayed in for the majority of the 9 innings. Each had a single, and Eden drove in a run.

St. Cloud also saw 3 of its pitchers show off on the mound as well. Robbie Palkert (Nebraska) allowed 1 run in 1 inning pitched. Relievers Shelby Lackey (Pacific) got two outs in the 8th and Brent Killam (Georgetown) threw 1.1 innings and threw in the 9th.

The Rox now move their focus to tomorrow's season finale against the Loggers. They return home Thursday night versus the Express. 1st pitch is at 7:05 PM and there will be a Double Bobblehead of 2016 Northwoods Field Manager of the Year Augie Rodriguez and Two-Time World Series Champion Al Newman presented by Capital One, 1240 WJON and 98.1 Minnesota's New Country. The 1st 400 fans at the game will receive a token to be redeemed for a double bobblehead after the fifth inning.
