After overcoming an early five run deficit Sunday afternoon, the Bucks dropped the ball late and suffered a damaging 9-5 defeat to the Willmar Stingers.

Usually reliable Adam Dian struggled in the ninth, allowing four runs (one earned) in the top half of the final frame. The runs were the first that the NWL All Star closer had allowed in his last six appearances.

Bucks starter Nick Veale had a rough outing, as well, giving up five runs (four earned) before being pulled with one out in the fourth inning.

The winning pitcher for Willmar was reliever Will Lydon, who pitched two scoreless frames. He allowed two hits and struck out one.

The Bucks have an off day Monday, before travelling to Saint Cloud to take on the Rox. The first game of that series is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15 at 7:05 p.m.
