Waterloo, Iowa – The Northwoods League has named Waterloo Bucks outfielder Connor McClain the NWL Player of the Night for his efforts in Waterloo’s 14-4 win over the Thunder Bay Border Cats on Monday.  The junior from Indiana State University went 3-for-5 with three doubles, three runs, and three RBI.

This season for the Bucks, McClain is hitting .322 with 27 RBI.  The Waterloo native has scored 44 runs in 50 games.  In his fourth season as a Buck, McClain is just four runs behind the team career mark of 129 set by Shayne Carnes during the 1995-’97 seasons and five doubles behind the team record of 50 set by Carnes.  In addition, McClain is sitting third on the career RBI list with 95 (record held by Carnes with 152) and third on the career base on balls list with 73 (record held by Ryan Hastings with 79 in the 2004 and ’06 seasons).
