Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks announce that the team has closed nominations for the 2015 Military Heroes Baseball card set.  Space is now full and nominations for this year’s card set are longer being accepted.  The Bucks thank everyone who submitted a military hero for this year’s set.

The Bucks still encourage active duty personnel, veterans and their families to attend our Military Heroes Night on Saturday, July 4th at 5:05 pm.  The Bucks will wear special patriotic jerseys that will be sold via a silent auction with the proceeds to benefit a local veterans group and the team will be honoring all veterans and active duty personnel during the game.

With the strong interest in our first Military Heroes Baseball Card set, the Bucks plan to continue this annual tradition by releasing a second Military Heroes Set for the 2016 season.  Nominations for this set will open in mid-November of 2015.

The Bucks, the winningest team in all of summer-collegiate baseball over the past two years, will open the 2015 season on the road versus the Alexandria Blue Anchors on May 26, but return to Waterloo for their home opener versus the Mankato MoonDogs on May 28.  Fans are encouraged to stay in touch with the Bucks in the off-season by utilizing their website at www.waterloobucks.com.
