WATERLOO, IOWA- The Waterloo Bucks (37-32) scored eight runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to crush the La Crosse Loggers (30-38) 10-2. The victory sealed a winning season and keeps the Bucks in the Northwoods League playoff hunt.

Jay Schuyler singled to right field putting the Bucks on the board first 1-0 in the bottom of the second.

The Loggers answered in the top of the fourth inning via two Waterloo errors and smart base running from Jorge Gutierrez was caught in a rundown but stalled long enough for Korey Lee to score the go ahead run 2-1.

The hot bat early for Waterloo was Jay Schuyler who promptly tied the game up 2-2 after slashing an RBI double to right field.

Ryan Garcia tossed five and two thirds inning with five strikeouts in a no decision while Matthew Perea (5-0) took over making sure the Loggers did not score any more runs.

The Bucks broke the game open in the bottom of the seventh inning starting with a Nicola Mislinski RBI single dropped to right center giving the home team a 3-2 edge. Due up next, Dalton Hurd hit a sharp ground ball into left field plating two more Buck runs off of La Crosse relief pitcher Andrew Owen (1-4). After Jake Viaene walked with the bases loaded, Jackson Goplen cleared the bases on a three-run triple down the right field line. Appropiately, Jay Schuyler rounded out the Buck scoring outburst with an RBI sacrifice fly to center field. All of a sudden, Waterloo had a 10-2 lead and would win by that score.

One more road game awaits the Bucks this regular season tomorrow, July 11 at Copeland Park against the La Crosse Loggers to finish the season series.
