Coach PJ McIntee and former intern Andy Ogdahl return to organization

WILLMAR, MN – The Willmar Stingers are excited to announce that they have added to their coaching staff and their front office staff for the upcoming 2014 season. PJ McIntee is going to join Manager Matt Hollod’s coaching staff again this summer as one of the team’s coaches. Andy Ogdahl has rejoined the Stingers organization and is the team’s new Assistant General Manager.

McIntee was an assistant coach with the Stingers during the 2013 season, helping guide the Stingers to an overall record of 41-29. McIntee is currently in his third season as an assistant coach at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, IA. At Southeastern, McIntee instructs on hitting, the catchers, and some recruiting for the Blackhawks. In McIntee’s two seasons (2012-13), the Blackhawks have posted back to back 36 win seasons and 2nd place finishes in the ICCAC regular season. McIntee has previous summer coaching experience; he was a coach with the Wilson Bulldogs in the Boise Summer Collegiate League.  Because of his efforts with the Bulldogs, McIntee was selected to the coaching staff for the BSL All Star Game.

Ogdahl returns to the Stingers front office as the team’s new Assistant General Manager. He replaces former team assistant general manager Abby Kremin. Last fall, Kremin accepted a position with the San Diego Padres.

Ogdahl is no stranger to the organization as he spent the 2012 season as an intern with the Stingers working as a hospitality coordinator. Since his time as an intern with the Stingers, Ogdahl spent time working with the Minnesota Timberwolves as a Game Presentation Assistant and as an Off-Ice Official with the Fargo Force of the United States Hockey League. Growing up in Marshall, MN, Andy earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State in Recreation/Sport Management with a minor in General Business.

Manager Matt Hollod, along with the Stingers organization, is continuing to build the roster for the fifth season of Stingers baseball in 2014. 2014 Stingers season tickets are on sale now.
