WILLMAR, Minn. – For the fourth straight night, the Stingers' starting pitcher dazzled in his outing.

This time, it was Luke Chevalier's (Northern State) turn to impress, leading the Stingers to a 3-1 victory and holding the Huskies to only one run in seven innings. He struck out two and gave up six hits, throwing 63 of his 100 pitches for strikes.

In the last four games, the Stingers' starters have only given up two earned runs and 15 hits, leading the team to their first four-game win streak of 2017.

After Chevalier finished seven innings, he gave way for Connor Herd (Mercer) in the eighth, who held the Huskies scoreless and set up the save for Calvin Coker (Auburn). As a team, the Stingers held the Huskies to only seven hits on the evening and commited no errors in the field.

After Chevalier exited, with the score tied at one in the bottom of the eighth, Josh Bissonette (Baylor) hit a ground ball to left field to drive in Marcus Still for the go-ahead run. Danny Rodriguez (Bethune-Cookman), who was named the NWL Player of the Night last night, then drove in Bissonette to give the Stingers a two-run lead they would not relinquish.
