Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.- The Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce held its 67th Annual Meeting and Awards Night on Thursday, February 26th at The Ridges Golf Course. Rafters General Manager John Fanta gave the keynote address as part of the evening and described the many ways the Rafters partner with fellow chamber members to give back to the community.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters were one of eight area businesses to receive an awards at the event. The Rafters were presented with the 2014 Community Spirit of the Year award presented by Marshfield Clinic. State Senator Julie Lassa and Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce President Melissa Reichert presented the Rafters with the award.

“We are very honored to recieve this award. It is a testament to all of our sponsors and fans for the support they have shown us through out first five seasons,” said Fanta.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
