Team Hires Over 70 Local Employees Each Season

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – Are you ready to follow your dream of working for a sports team? Are you an energetic person with a positive attitude, great work ethic, and enjoy working with people? If so, then a summer job with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters may be right for you!

The Rafters have announced open interview dates for game day employees for the 2015 season. The interviews will be held on Saturday, March 28th from 10:00 am-1:00 pm and Wednesday, April 1st from 4:00 – 6:00pm.  The Rafters staff will contact all applicants prior to the interview dates to determine which time works best for them to attend.

Each year the Rafters employ over 70 part-time staff and are looking for qualified applicants to work at Witter Field this summer. The Rafters are now accepting applications for the upcoming season and everyone that applies will have the opportunity to interview for several summer positions. A few of the many jobs that will be available include:

  • Various positions within the concession stands
  • Ticket office personnel
  • Ushers
  • Grillers
  • Dishwashers
  • Cashiers
  • Mascot
  • Beer and Soda Vendors
  • Program and Snack Vendors
  • Kid Zone Staffing

Game Day employment interviews will take place in the Rafthouse Team Shop/Front Office located down the 3rd base line of the ballpark. The Rafters encourage those interested to fill out an application prior to the interview and submit it to the Rafters Front Office. Applications are available by visiting raftersbaseball.com or by stopping into the Rafters Front Office at Witter Field. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm.

The Rafters are also currently accepting applications for their Game Day Internship positions. The Rafters Game Day Internships provide interns with hands-on experience of what running a baseball organization entails from a game day standpoint. All interns will experience growth in various venues throughout the ballpark as well as through special events in the community during the summer. The Game Day interns would only be required to work all Rafters home games, allowing them to have another part-time job during the summer if they wish. Game Day internships are unpaid but can be used to receive college credit.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
