Rafters Sign Power Pitchers to 2017 Roster

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters add to their stable of pitchers

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Rafters continued to stockpile arms for their 2017 roster as they announced the signings of right-hander Aaron Herr from St. Johns University and Stevens Tech right-hander Quinn DiPasquale.

RHP – Aaron Herr, 6’3”, 220, (R/R), Junior, St. Johns

Aaron Herr is in the midst of his junior season at St. Johns University this spring. The right-hander spent his first two collegiate seasons at Sierra College before making the jump to the division one level for the 2017 season. Fresh out of Bella Vista High School, Herr jumped into the Sierra bullpen and made an impact immediately. In his freshman season, he pitched out of the ‘pen in 16 games. With a 1-0 record, Herr ended the year with 19 innings pitched and an ERA of an impressive 2.37. Predominately a member of the starting rotation as a sophomore, Herr started 13 games, throwing a team-high 70.1 innings. He flashed brilliance with 78 strikeouts and only 38 walks. He also finished the year with 9.98 strikeouts per nine innings. This year, Herr has appeared in one game for the Red Storm, tossing three innings of one run baseball. He is a native of Fair Oaks, California.

RHP –Quinn DiPasquale, 5’10”, 215, (R/R), Junior, Stevens Tech

In addition to Herr, the Rafters are happy to announce the addition of Quinn DiPasquale to the 2017 summer roster. The right-hander hurled six innings his freshman season and posted an ERA of 1.50. In the summer of 2016, he played in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) and earned his way to the FCBL All-Star Game. This spring, DiPasquale has started four games, owning a 1-1 record and an ERA of 3.44 in 18 innings. He is a graduate of Bishop Guertin High School in New Hampshire.

 

 

The season and home opener for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters is May 30th at 7:05 against the Kenosha Kingfish.
