Kenosha, WIS – Owen Taylor recorded three hits and four RBI’s, but the Wisconsin Woodchucks lost 8-6 to the Kenosha Kingfish at Simmons Field Tuesday night.

The Woodchucks worked their way to an early 4-0 lead. Jared Oliva reached on an error and advanced to second on a groundout in the second inning. Taylor scored him with a single to left field.

Taylor delivered again in the third. Ty Black singled, and three Chucks walked, scoring one run, before Taylor came back to the plate. He then ripped a two-RBI single scoring Albee Weiss and Keenan Eaton.

Kenosha nearly tied the game in the bottom of the third. After scoring three runs in the frame, the Kingfish sent Eric Filia toward home on a single by Jeremy Vasquez, and Filia was thrown out from left field by Keenan Eaton, which kept the Woodchucks in front.

Wisconsin extended their lead to 5-3 with another run in the fifth. Oliva singled, stole second base and scored on the third single of the night from Taylor.

The Kingfish came back with two runs in the fifth and three runs in the sixth, highlighted by a two-RBI single from Vasquez. Kenosha held an 8-5 edge going to the seventh.

The Chucks only got one hit in the final two frames, and it was a solo home run from Yusuke Akitoshi in the eighth. It was his third homer of the season.
