Ambidextrous. It's a word that is rarely tossed around in the game of baseball. But when it is, you know you have something special. 

On June 5, former Wisconsin Woodchuck Pat Venditte took the mound for the Oakland Athletics at Fenway Park in a game against the Boston Red Sox. The box score for the 30-year-old reliever was pretty simple in his Major League debut: two innings, one hit, no runs and one strikout. 

However, in the history books, it was a much different story. With that outing, Venditte became the first ambidextrous pitcher to appear in an MLB game in nearly 20 years.

Current Woodchuck Jared Skolnicki is determined to make the next drought in switch pitching much shorter than that.
