Passatempo's team-leading fourth homer not enough

 

Wisconsin Rapids, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks (13-14) fell to the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (19-9), 7-6, at Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

Steve Passatempo (UMass Lowell) launched his team-leading fourth home run in the seventh to bring the 'Chucks within three at 7-4. They scored two more in the inning, but left two on to end the threat a run short.

Evy Ruibal (Notre Dame) and Gordon Cardenas (Auburn) contributed two and one shutout innings, respectively, to give the Woodchucks' offense a chance to come back.

Connor Brewster (San Francisco) pitched four innings in relief after starter Connor Hock (Notre Dame) allowed three unearned runs and had to leave the game due to exceeding 35 pitches in the inning,
