Wausau, WIS- The Wisconsin Woodchucks are pleased to announce the signing of two players from Texas A&M Corpus Christi to the Woodchucks 2017 roster. Infielder/Pitcher Jackson Owens and LHP Korey Rasure will be playing for the Woodchucks this summer.

Jackson OwensINF/P – Jackson Owens | 6' 1" | Junior | Texas A&M Corpus Christi
Owens played for Florida State as a Freshman, before transferring to Howard College for his sophomore campaign and landing at Texas A&M Corpus Christi this year. Originally from Corinth, TX, Owens batted .345 in 2016 with 11 home runs, 3 triples and 3 doubles. Owens struck out 17 in 15.2 innings pitched for Howard College. Prior to his sophomore campaign Owens had a .286 batting average as a freshman at Florida state.

 

Korey Rasure 3LHP – Korey Rasure | 6' 1" | Junior | Texas A&M Corpus Christi
Korey Rasure, originally from Midland, TX previously pitched for Cisco College. Rasure had a 6-2 record as a sophomore, appearing in 11 games. In 53.2 IP Rasure struck out 55, an average of 9.2 strikeouts per game.
