Wausau, WIS- The Wisconsin Woodchucks announce today their new radio voice for the upcoming 2017 season. Tim Hackett, a Journalism major at Northwestern University, will be calling all radio games for the Wisconsin Woodchucks.   

 

Hackett will be entering his junior year at Northwestern University, where he studies journalism, psychology, and public relations. A proud Raleigh, NC, native, Tim is excited and honored to be joining the Woodchucks for the 2017 season. At Northwestern, Tim is a part of WNUR, where he has done radio play-by-play and analysis for Wildcat women's basketball, volleyball, baseball and lacrosse. He's also written about many of the teams on campus for the North by Northwestern website.

 

Hackett spent his last three summers working on the TV production team with the AAA Durham Bulls. When he's not talking about sports, Tim enjoys movie trivia, theatre, and spending time with his family. Tim says, “I am very grateful and excited for this opportunity, and is ready for a great summer in Wausau. Go Chucks!” All Wisconsin Woodchucks games are broadcast on Fox Sports Wausau AM 1390 and FM 93.9.

 

The Wisconsin Woodchucks’ home opener is Wednesday, May 31, 2017. All ticket packages and group tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 2017 season. The Woodchucks are also excited to be hosting the 2017 Northwoods League All-Star Game, presented by Ascension.
