Sada and Sanchez named NWL Postseason All Stars


Alexandria, Minn. – The Alexandria Blue Anchors have two players represented on the Northwoods League Postseason All-Star Team in second baseman Steve Sada (Miami of Ohio) and first baseman Ricky Sanchez (Notre Dame).

Going into the season finale, Sada is batting .333 with one homer and 28 RBI.  He participated in both the midseason All Star Game and the Big League Dreams Showcase.  He leads the team in runs scored with 43 in 59 games.  

Sanchez has been named one of the league's top power hitters this season.  In his second year back in Alexandria, he is hitting .333 with team highs in doubles (11),triples (eight) and home runs (10).  He and Sada are tied for the team-high in batting average.
