\n\tBattle Creek, Mich. – <\/strong>The Battle Creek Bombers led throughout, but had to go ahead in the eighth on an RBI-single from Aaron Antonini (Middle Tennessee State University) to take it 4-3 over the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter Fond du Lac (20-25, 4-5) tied the game at three in the eighth, Antonini’s single into right field brought in Nikola Vasic (McHenry County College) to secure the Battle Creek win.  Antonini would finish his night going 2-3.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBattle Creek’s Jared Middleton (University of West Florida) gave a solid start, lasting 6.0 innings as he allowed two runs on just four hits while striking out five. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tColton Bradley (Central Michigan University) would pick up the win, as he retired the final three batters on three strikeouts.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tNewcomer Nick Menken (Virginia Tech) and Cody Hawken (University of Portland) each recorded RBIs in the fourth inning. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tVasic and Tom Stoffel (Virginia Tech) had multi-hit games, as it was Vasic’s eighth and Stoffel’s 16th<\/sup> multi-hitter.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe one-run victory is the ninth of the season for the Bombers, as they are now 9-2 in one-run games.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBC will look for their eighth series sweep tomorrow night against FDL, first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. ET at C.O. Brown Stadium.  Andrew Click (Davenport University) will get the start for Battle Creek.\n<\/p>\n
