\n\tBattle Creek, Mich. – <\/strong>The Battle Creek Bombers had a tough night offensively, as they would fall 3-1 to the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders in game two of the series.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBC (26-19, 6-4) and FDL were tied 1-1 going into the fifth, but a run from the Dock Spiders would shut down the Bombers offense the rest of the game.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFond du Lac (21-25, 5-5) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, as they also scored in the fifth and seventh which was enough for the victory.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAndrew Click (Davenport University) got the start for the Bombers, lasting 7.0 innings as he allowed three runs on eight hits.  Click struck out seven, but suffered his third loss of the season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Bombers got their only run in the second inning on an RBI-single from Cody Hawken (University of Portland).\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBC managed only four hits on the night, with Nikola Vasic (McHenry County College) recording back-to-back multi-hit games, while JD Mundy (Virginia Tech) slashed a hit in the second.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTim Nelson (UC San Diego) threw 2.0 innings of relief, allowing one hit as he struck out one. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tBattle Creek is now 13-11 at home, as they moved their record to 2-2 against the Dock Spiders.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe four-game home stand continues tomorrow for the Bombers, with game one against the Wisconsin Woodchucks set for tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. ET. \n<\/p>\n
