That was the last game in the five game series between these two clubs. The Loggers took Sunday afternoon’s game by a score of 6-3. They took the lead 3-1 in the first and kept it for the rest of the game.

It was an eventful start to today’s game against the La Crosse Loggers. On the second pitch of the game Tony Mueller hit a grounder to first where Beau Didier fielded and pitcher, Anthony Sambula, ran to cover first and fell over the bag and was down for a few minutes but came back in to pitch. Mueller advanced to second on the mishap with Sambula. The next batter hit to advance the runner to third. Chris O’Dowd had an RBI to put the Loggers up 1-0. As Brett Bishop stole second, Mike Marjama was able to go home on a wild pitch. The Loggers fourth hit of the game was able to score another player.

Sean Deegan stepped up to the plate for the Bombers, with two outs. He was able to make it to first on a hit and advance to second on an overthrow. Josh Lyon was able to get another hit for the Bombers and score Deegan. Making the score 3-1.

With two outs in the bottom of the fourth Andrew Lawrence knocks one out of the park for his third home run of the season. Cutting the lead to 3-2.

In the sixth inning the Loggers were able to get a run. To start off the seventh Mike Marjama got on base with a walk and then O’Dowd hit a double to put runners on second, and third.

Andrew Lawrence started off the seventh inning with a double for the Bombers. Greg Garcia was at a full count when he was once again hit by a pitch putting him on first and Lawrence was able to get to third. Didier was able to get a hit out of new pitcher, Trent Allianic, and that scored Lawrence. Navarro Hall put a slow roller behind the pitcher to load up the bases with two outs. It looked like Eric Schultz was going to be able to get a hit but Derrick Thomas made an amazing diving catch for the third out.

Deegan hit a stand up double as the first batter in the eighth inning. With two outs Berberet was walked when he was at a full count. Dan Dispensa was put in to hit for Noble Enriquez, but hit it right to the short stop for the third out.

O’Dowd hit a homerun with one runner on base to make the game 6-3. And that would end the scoring for both teams. Battle Creek tried to battle back but were not able to get farther than first base in the last inning.

Both teams had eight hits and one error. Deegan, Lawrence, and Didier all had two hits. One of Lawrence’s was a home run on the right field side.
